Good morning God,Thanks for waking up on this cold yet beautiful Sabbath morning. While we seek to rest, heal, and recover our restless hearts, you call us to worship you in truth and spirit. We come before you broken, unhealed, and restless. God of mercy accept our cold and restless spirits through your mercy and steadfast love.
Zealous God, we praise you for your mercy which raised up Martin Luther as a passionate and able reformer. Through the gospel which declares salvation by grace through faith, you reached out to us, and drew our hearts in faith to Christ.
Now we are your children. Now we are rescued from the slavery of sin. Now do not let us loose this gospel and our faith. Now fill us with zeal for your Word so that we eagerly proclaim it.
Lord Jesus, the Lord of the church, we surrender our needs, brokenness, our loved ones, our dreams, our passion, our hopelessness, and our abilities. Give us strength to face struggles, doubts, and dark moments with your Holy Spirit, our guide. As we celebrate Halloween tomorrow, help us to remember no matter what masks we wear, you still search our inner souls and accept us for who we are.
